ABOUT

Revisit the vampire tale that kick-started a modern horror comics revival in this fifth collected deluxe edition that features the 12-issue series from 2011–2012 by co-creator Steve Niles!

A town plunged into darkness, a group of vampires hungry for blood, and only a husband-and-wife sheriff’s team to stop them. This premise set the stage for an iconic horror franchise that went on to become a feature-length film from Sony Pictures in 2007. Book five collects the 12-issue 30 Days of Night series written by Steve Niles with artists Sam Kieth, Davide Furno, and Christopher Mitten!

A letter from Barrow, Alaska, carries a cryptic warning to a young, curious woman known as Alice Blood, which leads her down the rabbit hole and face-to-face with her desire…and likely her demise. Elsewhere in Los Angeles, a vampire resurrection ignites, which could threaten the very way of life of all mankind. This series from 2011–2012 introduces an all-new cast of characters into the world 30 Days of Night.

STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS

Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.

In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.

The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
