Halloween Eve isn‘t a typical choice for a wedding date. But Bernie and Libby’s latest clients,
up-and-coming TikTok food bloggers Debbie French and Christopher Hunt, are not a typical bridal couple. Their ceremony will take place in an allegedly haunted house in a small town along the Hudson River. As for the wedding cake, no traditional buttercream with fondant flowers for them . . .

When Debbie shows the sisters a picture of the cake she wants them to bake, there’s no mistaking the image it depicts: Dracula. Complete with fangs gushing blood made from “red elephant toothpaste.“ Bernie isn‘t sure what that is, but for the benefit of free publicity, she’ll find out.

Yet in the wee hours before the wedding, it turns out not all publicity is good publicity. The best man and the maid of honor have died. The coroner blames the red elephant toothpaste. The bride, however, blames the ghost of her murdered great grandfather who haunts the house, seeking vengeance.

Either way, Bernie and Libby face a media frenzy, a lawsuit, a possible manslaughter charge—and no choice but to investigate. . . . They soon discover a mélange of motives among the
foodie-filled wedding party—and the bridal couple’s plates aren’t spotless either. Still, even if the who and why become clear, there’s still the question of how? Something’s fishy, and to get out of hot water, the sisters will have to take a deep dive . . .
