ABOUT
The contemporary, diverse neighborhood of Alma's Way meets the problem-solving heroine and imagination of Ada Twist, Scientist in this vibrant picture book series full of humor and heart, for ages 3–7.
Move over Alma and Ada Twist, there's a new kid on the block! Five-year-old Ava has a big imagination and an even bigger heart. She loves her neighborhood. She loves the apartment she lives in with her mami, papi, and abuelo. She loves helping her friends and neighbors. And, most of all, she loves spending her days in her abuelo's bodega.
Abuelo Carlos's bodega is the center of their neighborhood. Whether someone needs paper plates or cat food, groceries or gossip, a baking dish or a helping hand, they can always find it down the bodega's aisles!
When Ava's friend Brody comes in one day with a problem of his own, it gives Ava an idea. She'll build her own bodega, one that can help the kids of her neighborhood, just like Abuelo's helps the grown-ups.
With some cardboard, tape, the power of imagination, and a little bit of magic, Ava's Bodega is open for business!
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
