ABOUT
Mayra and Dania are codependent besties and roommates living in New York City, where they experience a year in their early twenties full of drama, broke-ness, and first adult attempts at love.
In this quarter-life coming of age story, the girls try to find themselves against a backdrop of rising rent prices, global news stories, and heavy family legacies, all while talking shit with their girls and trying to be cute for the next Saturday night summons to the club.
A story of friendship and family, chosen or otherwise, our duo navigate the messiness and uncertainty of young adulthood with humor and style. Drawn with detailed ink cityscapes and bubblegum pink, Salvadoran-American cartoonist Julia Mata expertly sets the vibe in her debut graphic novel.
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
