ABOUT
A DESPERATE SEARCH FOR MEDICINE LEADS STRAIGHT INTO THE HEART OF MADNESS
Lost in a ghost town, Ako and Teru form a shaky alliance with two soldiers who defected from their squad amidst the chaos: Nimura, the loose cannon in charge of the AWOL crew, and Iwata, their helicopter pilot. But when Teru falls severely ill, it’s up to Ako to embark on a days-long hike with Nimura to find the medicine that might save Teru’s life.
Just before they reach their destination, however, the two encounter a young man with surgical scars covering his scalp. Strangely unable to feel pain, he mutters two cryptic words he claims explain the catastrophe that’s devastated Japan: dragon head. But before they can dig deeper, a gang of murderous rioters emerges from the shadows…
PRAISE FOR DRAGON HEAD
“Dragon Head is essential reading for horror fans. It’s a slow burn that forgoes shock value for psychological depth and atmosphere…”
—Behind the Manga
“Gritty, harrowing and blood-soaked, [Dragon Head] is a manga that should instantly appeal to fans of Battle Royale.”
—IGN
“An experience, not a story. […] Powerfully scary and creepy.”
—Anime News Network
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
