ABOUT

Reunion in the dead city. The official manhua (webcomic) adaptation of the New York Times bestselling danmei novel by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. Featuring stunning art by STARember, the webcomic produced by BILIBILI COMICS is now available in English print for the first time.

The first edition hardcover of Heaven Official’s Blessing (The Comic), Volume 4 will feature designed sprayed edges, custom endpapers, deluxe jacket, and a custom case stamp with gold foil.

After enduring sandstorms and deadly scorpion-snakes, Xie Lian and his companions arrive in the long-fallen Kingdom of Banyue. They’re no closer to uncovering the culprit behind a string of deaths and disappearances, and now they must also search for the rare shanyue plant, the only known antidote for the scorpion-snakes’ venom.

With two mysterious female cultivators on their tail—one of whom may be the infamous Banyue Sate Preceptor, the traitor who doomed the kingdom—the group explores the ruins of the capital city. When they discover the horrific fate awaiting those who travel the road to Banyue, Xie Lian will need to reckon with a piece of his past, and San Lang may finally be forced to his true form.

Volume 4 includes episodes 39-49 of the original webcomic based on the webnovel Tian Guan Ci Fu published on JJWXC.

STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS

Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.

In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.

The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.

PRODUCT TYPES

Comic book enthusiasts have various formats to choose from when collecting their favorite stories.
Here's a brief overview of the main types:

Omnibus

  • Large, hardcover collections
  • Usually contain complete runs or extensive story arcs

  • Higher price point, often €100-€150

Oversized Hardcover (OHC)

  • Similar dimensions to omnibus, but thinner
  • Collect shorter runs or story arcs
  • Usually 300-600 pages
  • Priced between €30-€50

Hardcover (HC)

  • Standard-sized hardcover books
  • Collect 6-12 issues typically
  • Similar dimensions to single issues, but with a hard cover
  • Priced around €25-€35

Trade Paperback (TP)

  • Softcover collections
  • Standard comic book size
  • Usually collect 4-6 issues
