ABOUT
As autumn settles in and Halloween approaches, Heavy Metal Magazine #3 delivers another unforgettable collection of visionary comics from some of the world's most celebrated creators. Enki Bilal returns with a new chapter of his acclaimed BUG saga, while PRIMEVAL by Tim Vigil and David Quinn plunges into a savage world where primal forces reign. TAARNA continues its epic journey from Leah Moore, John Reppion, and Anna Morozova, joined by new chapters of MILLSTONE, INK, GLADIATRIX, Sixella, Valentina, Cold Dead War: The Aftermath, and Caveman. This issue also features an all-new story by Jonathan Wayshak, Deconstructing Manga by Shintaro Kago, Spice of Life by Fernando Dagnino, Heresy by Katie Houghton-Ward, The Candidate by Alfonso Font, and a selection of haunting horror stories perfectly suited for the Halloween season. Bold, provocative, and unlike anything else in comics, Heavy Metal Magazine #3 brings together the world's most visionary creators for another essential issue.
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
