ABOUT
Christopher Chance is the Human Target—part bodyguard, part maverick. Hired to protect the pursued, he puts himself in the line of fire for his clients, risking life and limb to keep them, and himself, alive.
When Chance takes an assignment to deliver a Mafia informant to the U.S. government, however, he ends up on a worldwide scavenger hunt. In order to take down a powerful organized crime syndicate, Chance must accompany a mafia don across Europe and Asia collecting well-concealed evidence. With an army of dangerous mob hit men, all sworn to protect their family, chasing Chance and his client across continents, can he deliver the snitch to the Feds in one piece? And will the Human Target survive his transformation into a moving target?
Originally released to coincide with the 2010-2011 Human Target television series, this volume collects Human Target #1-6, written by the title character's co-creator Len Wein and illustrated by Bruno Redondo (Nightwing).
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
