ABOUT

A race engineer and her pilot will have to fight gravity—and their feelings—in this interplanetary sports romance.

Erin Wilder had her shot racing one of the galaxy’s fastest spaceships as a Formula Zero pilot, and she blew it. Now she harvests energy in Jupiter’s Great Red Spot, and she’s fine with that. Totally fine. But when an offer arrives from F0 team Novakova to return to the sport as a race engineer, she accepts. She’s not an engineer, but she understands a pilot’s headspace, which will hopefully be enough to earn her a permanent position.

Sam Lightgrove has a coveted spot on the F0 grid as a racer for Novakova, a mid-pack team that’s rapidly falling in rank—and he’s going through race engineers just as fast. No one seems to understand him as a racer except for Erin. Her determination to work in Formula Zero and her past piloting experience might provide the out-of-the-box spark Sam needs to get out of his head and onto the podium.

But things get more complicated when one of the people who pushed Erin out of racing in the first place seems none too pleased about her return. As Erin and Sam disagree over race logistics, their chemistry skyrockets. But a workplace romance is not part of the team strategy, especially if it could be used against her by those who want her to remain off the circuit. Erin will fight for the sport she loves but needs to decide if she’ll fight just as hard for her heart.

STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS

Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.

In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.

The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.

PRODUCT TYPES

Comic book enthusiasts have various formats to choose from when collecting their favorite stories.
Here's a brief overview of the main types:

  • Higher price point, often €100-€150

Oversized Hardcover (OHC)

  • Similar dimensions to omnibus, but thinner
  • Collect shorter runs or story arcs
  • Usually 300-600 pages
  • Priced between €30-€50

Hardcover (HC)

  • Standard-sized hardcover books
  • Collect 6-12 issues typically
  • Similar dimensions to single issues, but with a hard cover
  • Priced around €25-€35

Trade Paperback (TP)

  • Softcover collections
  • Standard comic book size
  • Usually collect 4-6 issues
