As the only eligible candidate, the young Kaede is chosen—though he feels less like a bride and more like a sacrifice. Upon his arrival at the Wolf tribe’s village, Kaede immediately clashes with his fiancé Ren, a moody young wolf who wants nothing to do with him or their upcoming marriage.
