ABOUT
As Marvel approached its 50th anniversary, the company launched a bold new series that echoed the variety and excitement of its earliest comics. MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS delivered a twice-monthly burst of high-energy storytelling, showcasing characters from across the Marvel pantheon. Top creators fueled the anthology: Claremont and Buscema unleashed signature Wolverine action — while Gerber, Moench and McGregor returned to Man-Thing, Shang-Chi and the Black Panther, respectively. The series also surprised readers with rare work from legends like Steve Ditko and Dave Cockrum and gave heroes such as Havok and Colossus room to shine. Fast, experimental and packed with surprises, MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS defined late-’80s Marvel. This series has never been collected in its complete form, and our continuing series of Omnibus will reprint every page!

STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
