ABOUT
Mitsuko, Japan's first female detective, and her assistant, Saku, the heir to Yoshida Department Store, lead busy lives in Tokyo's Ginza district— so busy that Mitsuko loses her wallet! Thankfully, a small boy picks it up for her and returns it. As Mitsuko and Saku head to a soba restaurant for lunch, they encounter someone eating and drinking without paying at a dumpling shop across the street!
The culprit is none other than the boy from earlier, but he insists that he "paid" for his lunch... The Showa era was showy, but it was also a struggle to survive for everyone from single mothers to clever children born into poverty. Can a girl detective and a wealthy heir help?!
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
