ABOUT
Eizo’s business is booming, and his weapons are flying off the shelves of Camilo’s shop! As the forge increases output, it’s soon apparent that the family’s handcart is no longer an adequate mode of transportation. Luckily, Camilo has a solution for sale-enter Krul, an adorable drake who’s champing at the bit to be of service! With Krul pulling the cart, the trips to the city are a breeze... until the family is ambushed by a mysterious woman seeking to commission a blade from the blacksmith of the Black Forest. Eizo is shocked to learn that his new client is actually a demon, but he’s even more shocked to hear what kind of sword she wants: a katana! Can Eizo forge an authentic piece of his culture in his new world? Or will cutting corners with his cheats dull the edge of his Japanese blacksmithing dreams?
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
