ABOUT
As the planet is ravaged by global warming perpetuated by a few wealthy elites, a giant monster emerges from the bottom of the ocean and attacks New York City. Three teenagers—Felipe, Malik, and Jeanie—are caught in the crossfire and must do what they can to save their city, their families, and their community.
Felipe has recently immigrated to New York City from Venezuela along with his mother. Outside of school, Felipe delivers food on his bike to help his mom pay the bills. When he, Malik, and Jeanie are in the middle of school detention and a monster attacks New York, Felipe immediately rushes home to check on his mom. After he realizes she may be trapped in a subway station, he and his classmates will have to travel across a New York City in chaos to rescue the only family and piece of home that Felipe has left. But as the city enters an evacuation state and sinister forces seek to take advantage of the chaos, will Felipe and his friends be able to rescue their loved ones and evacuate the city in time?
From the Eisner-nominated team Julio Anta and Jacoby Salcedo (Frontera, This Land Is Our Land: A Blue Beetle Story) comes an action-packed kaiju story about finding strength in one another in the wake of catastrophe.
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
