ABOUT
PRE CODE CLASSICS SLAVE GIRL & JUNGLE GIRL TP SOFTEE VOLUME 1 Sandra Worth meets archaeologist Geoffrey Garth at a party. He noticed the ring Sandra was wearing and? she explained that the ring had been handed down in her family for generations. The ring is actually one of the mystical rings of Zubran from the Kingdom of Ormuz. The rings were said to be able to allow its? possessor to view the past. They read an incantation. After which Sandra began to see the past life of Malu,? Princess of Ormuz, and her protector Garth. ? Malu was kidnapped and sold into slavery, but 18 years later she is found by Garth. The duo set out to? return Malu to her throne in Ormuz, but encounter many adventures and fall in love along the way. The Perils of Nyoka [1942] serial starring Kay Aldridge as NYOKA the Jungle Girl was inspired by Edgar Rice Burroughs. She made her first comic book appearance in Jungle Girl November 1942, where we find her fighting a variety of criminals including gorillas with human brains and Vulture, the queen of a band of Arabian outlaws, whose bodygaurd is a giant gorilla named Satan. Subsequent appearances followed in Master Comics before she eventually got her own title in 1945 running 76 issues until 1953.
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
