ABOUT
Brooke Lowe has spent her whole life orbiting the entertainment industry. Her father built film sets, and she works on a hit TV show—mostly fetching coffee—though she longs to be a screenwriter. After a difficult break-up and desperate to prove her choice was worth the loss, Brooke makes a pact to herself: finish her script by summer’s end or walk away from her dream for good.
To fully focus on her writing, Brooke rents a charming guesthouse in the seaside town of Cambria, where Monterey pines meet the Pacific and time seems to slow. But her plans for summer solitude are quickly disrupted by Jesse Hewitt, a guarded local with a sharp tongue and a knack for challenging everything Brooke believes about herself and her work.
What begins as friction soon softens into something neither of them expected. Between golden-hour boat rides and late-night confessions, Brooke finds her creative spark returning—and her carefully guarded heart beginning to open. But when her ex unexpectedly returns, their fragile trust is put to the test.
As summer slips away, Brooke must decide what she’s willing to fight for: the career she’s always chased, or the life—and love—she never saw coming.
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
