ABOUT
How do you define the life’s work of one of the most imaginative and irreverent comics creators ever? We don’t know either, but we’re giving it a shot with this volume collecting a plethora of Keith Giffen stories plucked from the pages of Legion of Substitute Heroes Special #1, Legion of Super-Heroes (1989) #1, Justice League America #45, Justice League #5, Secret Origins #34, Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special #1, The Big Book of Urban Legends #1, Blue Beetle #1, 52 #17, Ambush Bug #1-4, and for the first time ever, The Heckler #1-6, restored in full color!
Featuring a foreword from J.M. DeMatteis, we hope this strange tome makes you laugh, cry, laugh some more, become confused, and be entertained by the one and only Keith Giffen.
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
