ABOUT
When Papa Smurf lodges a complaint about a recent poor harvest which led to a food shortage in Smurf village, Homnibus gives the Smurfs a sack of purple beans he claims can be used as food. Hoping this will solve their problems for the coming winter, Papa Smurf, Farmer Smurf and Chef Smurf work together in secrecy to introduce a delicious new meal to the village using the beans. The only problem is the purple beans become so popular, many Smurfs can’t stop eating them and become overweight. However, a small group of Smurfs, led by Smurfette, resist the purple beans and try to convince the Smurfs to quit eating them and embrace a healthier lifestyle.
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
