ABOUT
Connect to the stars—and some of the myths, histories, and science surrounding the constellations in our sky—with this deck of cards that will inspire your next stargazing session. Showcasing Ptolemy's 48 constellations, including Orion, Ursa Major, and Andromeda, each of the constellation cards includes a short description of its respective star cluster along with tips for the best time of year to view it and how to identify it from any location in the Northern Hemisphere.
An introductory card offers tips for novice stargazers (hint: you need only your eyes, but a set of binoculars can illuminate even more star clusters!). Glow-in-the-dark ink on each card aids you while outdoors (or in a dark room inside!), and the cards are easily transportable, making this deck a great gift for beginner astronomers, campers, hikers, and space enthusiasts of all ages.
STANDARD, PRIMARY, DM AND VARIANT COVERS
Standard and Primary covers are widely available through general retailers. They often have higher print runs and can be cheaper, especially during sales.
In contrast, Direct Market (DM) and variant covers are primarily sold in comic shops. DM editions tend to have more limited availability and may be more valuable to collectors.
The main differences lie in artwork style, availability, price, and collector appeal. Ultimately, the choice between standard and variant covers depends on personal preference, budget, and individual collecting goals.
